Cut the guy some slack guys...never said he'd be a GoJet ***** or a scab, just that actually getting to fly is what is most important to him right now. After he gets extended or JM'd a few times and misses some commutes home that'll change...

And if you flew 50 hours and got paid for 93 you either 1. flew over vacation, 2. had a bunch of LC days, or 3. are a reserve and picked up opentime below 12 days off.

Last month I worked about 50 hrs and got paid for 93.... but that extra $$$ is just a side benefit I guess... I love flying so much.... I should give all 93 hrs back to the company (sarcasm)

Sorry for the implication that I didn't care at all about money. I do, and trust me: I want to work for a good regional with good pay, good QOL, good working conditions, etc. That's why I refuse to even consider Mesa and all the other sh!tty operations out there.

I guess what I was trying to say is I'd like to work somewhere that I can build time quickly, but also be working in a good environment, with a good pilot group, a fair contract, etc. I'm certainly taking everything into consideration.

Sorry guys...should have re-read before i pressed the submit button.

Thanks for not jumping to any conclusion Boiler. I appreciate it.

So I've decided it would be best to go to ATL job fair and see what AWAC has to offer as a company and see what they have to say about my resume. I am hoping for an interview. Any recommendation on what to bring, besides wearing a suit, im bringing my logbook, medical, pilot cert., passport and also was thnking about letters of reccomendation jsut in case...any thoughts??? Thanks in advance!

RSV+RGS on RSV days=2 days OWP+ a 3 day open time trip=93 hrs/11 days off. I think it might be 97, but I'm not sure how the "OWP" works? I guess we'll see on the 15th.

Its cool man... I just read your post after something happened that ticked me off--I was at an FBO taking a C-208 from RDU to Pine Island, NC (private strip--outer banks) for my old employer and this guy walks up to me at RDU and says he'd do anything for turbine time. He said "I don't even care about money...I just want the turbine time...right now I'm cleaning a BE-58 and the guy is letting me fly it with him, I'd be happy to do the same thing with this C-208" Then I got home, read your post--its cool man, my apologies.

AWAC is a good place...there are a few out there. The key is to live in domicile or have a super easy commute (if such a commute exists?). Our domiciles are expensive and/or undesirable. At XJT you will fly a lot, at SKYW you will fly a lot, at AWAC---you will fly...just not as as others. Things are always changing though thats for sure. I've got a four day tomorrow, then a two day I picked up in open time, and a day off. So six straight days as long as I don't run into any 30/7 issues! Then I will probably go 7-10 days with no flying :)

Captchris 6 days In a row doesn't sound so bad. I'm a line holder at TSA and am blocked for 99:37 this month. I was wondering what you think about your ORF base. Quality of life and how much do they dead head being an out station. I live in Richmond so ORF would be an easy move for me. I hope I'm on bored with you all at AWAC soon. Fly safe!

Im actually going a little chater operation about 15 mins from my house. King Airs, lears, a challenger and a hawker. Home almost every night, and turbine PIC. Non of that was going to happen anytime soon at AWAC. I can only hope that mgmt pulls thier heads out of thier a$$es before it really hits the fan this summer. The pilot group at AWAC is by far the best group Ive ever worked with and it is depressing to see the negativity picking up again. I can only hope that you guys get what is owed to you. Best of luck!

Good luck in ATL. Letters of rec never hurt anyone, as long as they were good ones:D so bring those if ya got em. Other than that just show up and be you, and things should be fine. ;)

Thanks Korean1DR, have you had a lot of exp. with AWAC??? I have heard that they will seriously consider you if you show up and speak to them at these job fairs.
