What to bring
Hello,
I start 121 training with PSA on May 21, 2007.
Want to know what to bring to training.
Logbooks, amount of clothes, cash?
In Dayton will be staying in (The Dayton Airport Hotel).
How about pilot case and luggage for OE and on trips?

its a good idea to bring a flight case with you to carry books back and to training. clothes is up to you, but you normally have to be business casual. definitly bring your passport so you can jumpseat home during training.
other than that the info in your packet on what to bring should be good.

Bring a large cooler. The Airport hotel wil charge you $5 a day for a fridge. Get your own cooler and ice down your food. Do Not eat at wilburs for any meal except the continental breakfast. I repeat do not eat at wilburs. If somebody in your class has a car, then you're golden. There are several adequate eating establishments withing driving distance for lunch. If not, the van will take you to Meijers (think super wal mart) to stock up on groceries.
A rolling flight case would be good for training. However it won't fit in the CRJ.
Make sure you get a Jepp cardboard box from your indoc instuctor. All manuals will not fit in a flight case. You don't need them all on line, and you can put the ones you won't carry in the box for the ride home.
Shower shoes.
Good luck, and remember, Republic is paying a bonus for CRJ qualified pilots! Theres no shame in leaving a bad regional for a decent one.

Never trained at PSA, but here's my suggestion for packing:
Suitcase:
-standard toiletries
-5-7 days of clothing (business casual)
-2 casual outfits
-1 workout attire (if that's your thing)
Backpack/flight case to carry training items:
-1 notebook
-pens/pencils/highlighters
-index cards to make flashcards
-scotch tape
-other "training" supplies you deem essential
Other items:
-Passport
-Logbook (most recent one should do, unless otherwise instructed)
Flight gear can probably be left at home, unless you're flying in from the far reaches of the country. You'll most likely get at least one chance to go home for it before OE. You probably wont need it for training, since the company should be supplying you with everything you'll need for the simulator.
