Chautauqua, waiting time in pool??

Bring your floaties :)
Well, good to see that you're in the pool. I've heard that guys are waiting up to a few months. However, I just got my friend hired over there last week and they called him within one day with a class starting 2 weeks later. So, I don't know what to tell you.
Back when I worked there, the guys going into the pool would wait anywhere from 1 month to 18 months. So, take that with a grain of salt. It's up to whatever they want to do. They are so backed up with Emb-170 training right now, when you get done with systems training and the sim, you'll have 3 weeks off before you do your IOE. It's that crazy right now! Also, on a side note, the master plan is to dwindle out the Emb-145's, so I hope that you don't have your heart set on going into that plane. We hadn't done any new hire IOE on that jet in over 8 months.
Just to make you rest a little easier, I along with about 25 other guys just left within the past 2 months, and many more are headed out the door. It truly is a great place to work and learn, so enjoy your time there and have fun!

Actually no new hire classes for the 145.

Also, on a side note, Chautauqua won't be doing any Emb-190 flying like they had hoped for Airways and others. They're simply too expensive on the pilot's payscale. If you don't believe me, look at what mainline Airways & JetBlue will fly it for, and then compare it to Chautauqua's payscale on the 190.
I seriously believe that this coming year will be a trial as negotiations are due to start in November. I think that it's going to end up being one of those things where Chautauqua's payscale is like the old Comair, too expensive and so they'll be losing out on flying, hence my departure and other's like myself.
