Default Does anyone use a Telex 8 ANR in the EMB145

I lost my DC 13.4 recently. Great headset. Light weight, etc. If you know the 145 you know how ridiculously noisy it is. I am looking for a replacement and I just CAN"T fathom $1000 for a Bose.

I see decent reviews for the Airman 8 ANR, but none are from 145 pilots. Google shows and old post to a forum that says use more noise cancelling horsepower for the 145.

PMs are fine as well. Thanks in advance.

I’ve tried it and it just is way too loud still on the 145.

The Airman 8 is just not a very good headset. Spend the extra couple hundred more for a Pro-X.

Bose quietcomfort 25 or 35 with the nflightmic or uflymic work great. And you can use the headset for commuting

I ordered a Bose today. FWIW if you buy one soon you get a free Quiet Comfort ANR headphones with purchase. I got the Bluetooth version on recommendations from several pilots as well.

It's on the purchase page from Bose.com. although the deal I'm pretty sure expires today or tomorrow.

It takes a trip or 2 to get used to them. Once you do. It’s peace, quiet and comfort.
