I am new here and would like to find out why some airlines have such high washout rates. As someone who is looking to break in but, terrified of washign out, the whole TSA thing scares me. What needs to be done to ensure I am not a statistic and can become a successful member of society...(regional pilot.) Av8er feel free to pm.

joe, just got to a decent regional, and they'll do their best to help you get through. If you go to a low tier regional however, there's a higher chance that you might fall victim to a training nightmare. I don't quite understand how people failed the oral, it was tough but not impossible as long as you studied your butt off, and had your friends help you study your butt off more, but the sim is a different beast all together, one bad instructor and your S.O.L. it's all a matter of luck.
