Still with the arbitrator over a couple of sticky points involving seat locks and APD's/FTI's. Should have final results before Christmas.

So what happens if you don't want to stick around for the flow through and want to fly for NW. Can you apply anyways and by-pass the flow through?

Are you saying any open time picked up is automatically paid double OVER guarantee?

That would be awesome! I need christmas money!

Also, would schedualing let me pick up a trip that continues into one of my reserve days? Would I get double pay for the flying on the reserve day? Can I request only part of an open time trip (break them into smaller pieces)?

As you can see I havn't figured out this whole open time thing...reading the contract wasn't that helpful either.
The trick is, if you are on a reserve line you probably don't have any "extra" days off to pick up any open time. But if you can manage to find the time and the right trip to pick up, it's easy money

I'm just guessing, but I would imagine the pilots senior to you might not like it too well if you somehow pulled that off. You would basically be bypassing the seniority list to get to NWA faster than the people ahead of you. Not saying it couldn't happen, just saying it would probably cause the whole agreement to fall apart if HR starting accepting guys out of flowthrough order.

It seems to me that if the arbitrator is taking this long they will rule in favor of the company. Reminds me of the whole bankruptcy judge issue before he threw out the contract.

Thanks, I asked around the crewroom and had it all explained to me.

I just picked up one out and back on a day off worth 2:30, which credits to a min day of 4, which doubles to 8! Easy money is right

If you do and "hard times - NWA furloughs " come about, you will not have flow back like others that used the flow through process.
