First of all, congratulations on the offer. I knew you could do it. If XJT is what really want, has most if not all of the things you'd want in a first regional job, and you intend to stay for at least a few years, then I would certainly cancel the SKW interview, and as soon as you can. It's the professional thing to do.
Like ToiletDuck, I hope you come back here to keep us posted on your progress. Although I mentioned to you that I don't fly regionals, I may if XJT flies to SAT.

I did the same thing. They were very difficult when it came to the shuttle. To and from the hangar at the contracted times worked very well, however we usually were finished a couple of hours before 5 and they would refuse to pick us up early. that wasn't so bad because you can work on your flows (do this EVERY day for at LEAST an hour.) while waiting. Depending on who is driving the shuttle you may or may not get taken to the grocery store. other than that, good luck getting a ride anywhere. Wal-mart is kind of close. you can take the light rail to a walkable distance to wal-mart. they have groceries there. good luck. study your flows. don't just memorize them, be able to spout them out instantly. it will make things INCREDIBLY easier through the rest of training. especially IOE. Have fun!

ONT seems to be a pretty stable base, and they will be operating 18 DAL planes out of LAX. The chances of getting the LA Basin area are really good, since both those bases are junior.
Anyway, thanks for the input. Looking forward to June 18th
