Since you can pick your own base you might be able to get a jet out of dfw. If you do the time on reserve will be alot longer. Right now the shortest reserve time is in san juan, less than a month, but thats not in your home town. The upgrade is going faster right now and every one is saying it will be 3-4 years by the end of the year but I'll still believe it when it happens. QOL is descent, fair work rules for the most part. Im not sure of how it is at dfw since im in sju but over all the eagle expirence hasnt been that bad.

What would the chances be to get Miami, if one was to apply at Eagle? Any Idea when/where the next job fair is?
|
They would love you if you took MIA and the ATR. They are hurting so badly for ATR FO's. Reserve is a lot longer in MIA than in SJU but youll still be flying alot and they will probably send you down to SJU to fly some.

I am just finishing training right now and I really like it here. To everyone out there, this has been around for a while but you CAN choose your base. The equiptment they give you. If you want LAX then the SAAB. DFW all SAAB. ORD ERJ or CRJ (depends on the class). BOS/LGA ERJ. MIA or SJU ATR. There are about 25 people per class so I expect there to be 80 - 100 people below me when I get out of training. In LA and DFW people are getting line right out of IOE. They didn't even have enought people to cover all the lines in LAX next month. Apply, come interview and decide if you want to come here. Good luck.

Great, I only hear good things about Eagle and been based in Florida is more important to me then flying a Jet. How was training for the ATR, I'm sure pretty touch. Thanks for all the information

The ATR isnt that tricky to learn. Its systems are a little differnt cause its french and they used different names for things like auto feather-they use ATPCS. The instructors are great very expirenced, helpful, and can actually teach. There is no room for error in the sim so be ready for it. You can screw up a bit on the first day of a new subject but you better know it by the second. You also have to go swimming and get into a life raft for the training and that was fun.

Thank you Killer......, I also was wondering about the washout rate at Eagle. I hear at some other Regionals it seems to be high. What has it been since you started with Eagle?
|
well one guy in my class washed out, and an entire class of saab new hire's washed out the first few weeks i was in dallas. As far as the jet guys im not sure. But i have noticed that of the 30 ish people that were in my jan new hire class, theres about 15-20 left on the seniority list almost 6 months later. Eagle is aparently known for having really hard training. Supposedly some of the flow back american guys had issues with it.

So, how would one prepare before class to have a better chance of NOT washing out?
