Default Side Jobs/Careers for Pilots

Im am a long ways away from the regionals but am already thinking about a side job/career for when i get there. While i think it is ridiculous that i would have to have two jobs, it seems as though even at the best regionals the pay is crap. Im curious as to whether a second job is feasible without dying from exhaustion and what kind of side jobs would work well for an airline pilot's schedule. I have heard of a few pilots who are medical technicians and nurses and only work several days a month at it( and still make just as much or more compared to a month of regional flying ). Im about to go into my sophomore year of college and need to pick a major fairly soon so that's why i am starting to think about this. Thanks for any input, please only serious posts.

I don't have any specific ideas for a major, but a bunch of my friends work at the same places they did in college, i.e. they fly ~18 days a month and work maybe 7 days or so at Sears. I know one guy who is an athletic trainer, and another who does drywall. If your family owns a business, get involved in that. And whatever yuou do, keep commuting to a minimum , it will eat up alot of your time you could use to rest/work more.
