I'm surprised that no one has said this yet, but I guess I will.
You shouldn't be looking at gouge "the last minute" the night before the interview anyway. Like you said, study it well before hand, know your regs, ATP stuff, technical questions, approach briefing, etc. No need to get yourself worried the night before the interview (as you ended up doing to yourself). The night before the interview, chill. Try to relax, and sleep early. You already know the stuff. |
Actually not one thing on all those gouges helped me for my interview. The IFR oral study guide and systems will do the trick.

They are owned by the same guy and on the same server. But like it has been said, he should already be ready to go. Nice to go over last minute stuff but I'm sure he'll be fine.

HOLY COW!
An APC record! THREE different posts by THREE different people all on the same minute! (myself, toiletduck, dojetdriver, at 4:34pm) |

Nope. Wasn't fine. Failed miserably. But at least I got First Class on the way home. The free drinks were nice. I'm going to bed.

Yeah, thanks, I sort of knew that. I'm glad you were able to pick up on my underlying sarcasm with the "bizarre coincidence" statement.

Anyway, ya live and learn, good luck in future interviews. You'll do fine. Just study hard beforehand, and the night before, try and relax, get some good sleep instead of cramming. :) |

Actually, I don't think I failed miserably, I just failed for some reason. I thought the non-HR portions went pretty well actually. No surprises, no really tough questions. I thought I nailed it.
In the HR portion, though, I asked a lot of questions which may have indicated to them that I wasn't exactly looking forward to being relocated. So maybe they didn't like that. I've also heard rumors that they prefer low-time pilots, and I exceed all of their minimums by at least a factor of 4. I think whatever did me in was in the HR room. What's most upsetting is not that I didn't get the job, but the HR lady, upon polite questioning, absolutely refused to tell me why she decided not to hire me. How is anyone supposed to improve for next time? |
