I know it's not like I deserve the same previledges like US citizens, but if I have to be some ones work horse to stay here than I'd much rather go back home. I know from experience because I have heard stories from people that when people sponsors you they basicly make you their slave. I love flying, so I don't mind working when it comes to flying. So as long as the person you are talking about is a nice guy and don't just try to use peopleI'd definitely love to contact him.
Two clichés come to mind:
Do you want some cheese with that whine?
AND
Beggars can't be choosers.

You are not any good at providing any helpful info, but you sure are good at lectuing and making yourself look like the kind of ignorent fool that make Americans look bad. We can't go somewhere else and fly??? The correct answer is more like you don't wan't to go somewhere else and fly. There's jobs everywhere. I know lots of US pilots that flies in Asia and Middle East and they love it. The only difference is they aren't picky and ignorent like most young American. Some of you guys need to go see the world yourself before you make comments and not basing your ideas about the other side of the two oceans by watching TV cause half the stuff you see and hear on TV about else where is BS.

First, its a lot harder and more expensive to go from FAA certs to ICAO certs than vice versa. While there are notable exceptions, most foreign airlines either give preference or require their own citizens in the flight deck. The notable exceptions are places like Emirates(which is an outstanding place to work in an outstanding city from what I hear) and Cathay Pacific.

The biggest deterrant to ex-pat work is that we can get jobs here in the states and not have to live in a foreign land. Why would I move halfway across the world to work and be away from or uproot my family when I can get a similar job that pays well much closer to home? If I wanted to do that, I'd join the Air Force.

People come here to work (and fly) b/c the opportunity is greater and barriers to entry are much lower than overseas. Just look at the thread about the Singapore A380 captain pay.

By the way.........check your spelling and grammar. "Uneducted" is actually spelled UNEDUCATED. Moreover, you should have ended your sentence with a question mark (?). Who is the "uneducted" now?????????

To be fair, this guy is actually from another country and has learned English. If you want to crack down on spelling, slam the people who grew up with English as their primary language. I wouldn't criticize you for your inability to spell in Spanish or German or whatever.
