Did not know any of that about Mr. Bartlett; according to Yahoo Finance he is listed as a "Director" of LCC when it comes to insider transactions, and Eastshore Aviation is listed separately.
Guess that's why I never made the connection between the two...but thanks for the multiplication lesson! Maybe that'll come in handy some day...

I once had a captain tell me the company made "billions" off of the US Air stock, and that they continually get awarded stock options. The problem with AWAC is that the company is private, and no such disclosure exists in the form of annual reports so what's left is a lot of speculation and mis-information, neither of which is good.

And the guys at AWAC that think our future is secure because the company's stake in USAirways are going to be really disapointed in 8 years. Hopefully, as things are ever changing, AWAC will come up with another contract with a different airline between now and then.
If they fail, it may be the end of the flying portion of AWAC.

Republic has been operating out of the C and B terminals most recently, and early on did operate out of the F terminal during the transfer of aircraft from Mid Atlantic (please reserve opinions on this matter...). A base in PHL is allegedly here, just waiting on the formal vacancy announcement- and a new shipment of KY with sand. Republic will continue to operate from B/C for the forseeable future. The only thing that may impact that is the delivery of more 190's for USair. In general, the 170 took up just a bit too much room on the F gates, and it became difficult to park one 170 per gate without having to skip a gate in between.
RW maintanance is on the C terminal, and the crew room will be there too, so we shouldn't be stepping on AWAC's toes.

Might be nothing, but RAH has a job posting on their website listed for a Supervisor of Flight Ops in PHL. The req sounds like its a job associated with a crew base (mentions V-files). Gotta stir the rumor pot...

This would be the fastest "rumor to fact" I've ever seen around here. People are still talking about a CLT base...but I'm chalking that one up along the lines of "We're getting MCO back." PHL is more plausible.
