So what can you folks tell me about PSA? I got an email from them that seems a little interesting, says that my resume was received and to be considered I must meet the minimums. If I am considered for employment I will be contacted by email to confirm their interest..
Then this next line is interesting I'll type it verbatim "PSA Airlines considers that an individual has removed him or herself from consideration if on the individual's passive demonstration of disinterest shown through non-responsiveness to email inquiries regarding the specific position" That coupled with an addition of the word PilotXXXX (XXXX being a number) to the subject line of the email I sent them (they simply replied) makes me think this is a suggestion to reply to this email, and stay in contact with them. But its a way of tracking interest in the position. I've replied to the email guess I'll wait and see where it goes. |

Tell them you'll be interested when if on e-mails to specific position applicants regarding there is proper grammar. |

Flew into CLT this evening and was told that PSA cnx 30 some flights last night due to lack of crew? Anybody?

That's a standard "hey we got your stuff" email. You'll get another invite email in a week or so if they want to interview you. The second one is the one you need to respond to.

I got the same exact email yesterday, and I responded to it. However this happened about 3 weeks ago as well. Then I met thm at the job fair in ATL and they said they d be in touch with a class date. I don t know what is going on. But i applied with 440TT and 102 ME. I responded to the email saying "thank you for considering me as a First Officer Candidate, I a m still interested " or omething to that effect. We will see. They arent my first choice but Im keeping all of my options open.

I think the important point to be made is that in today's market, someone with over 500/100 can have their choice of several regionals. Its not like 5 years ago where you needed to settle for the first one to call. Take your time and pick the airline that fits you best. You might be there for a while. Pay is not going to improve if people who have a choice work for places like Mesa, PSA, and Trans States just to get the turbine time(QOL decisions are justification in and of themselves). Choice being the key word.

Air Wisconsin is now hiring lower-time folks. Published mins are 500/125 I believe. If you wanna live out east, shoot ATW a resume; we're starting to have trouble recruiting pilots just like everybody else...

I am interested in Air Wisconsin. I am planning on instructing for the duration of the summer and then I will start sending out the resumes. I am currently at 350/58. By summer's end I should be in the ballpark of 650/100 . Still low time but that's when I am stepping into the game.

I am not getting into this industry to make 200K per year. I love to fly and will make an educated descision as to where and who I will fly for. If you love what you do the money will follow eventually. I know I can live on whatever I make. I planned wisely when I was in my twenties. Bought my house cheap, fixed it up and now its my nest egg. Did my time in the Corps and then started my own company. Made plenty of dough and discovered money isn't everything. Which leads me to flying. Maybe I'll apply with XJT. Then you can tell me in the flesh that I am a *****. It would be a sorry mistake for you, bet that you crap your skivies there on the spot. Your a spoon fed pus. I know your type. I want this, I want that. Bet thats all you ever say..
