yeah, if anything you are late. I already had a job offer and a class date when I was 2.5 mouths out from mins(pre COVID).

the situation is changing month by month.

and as long as he has a class when he meets mins he hasn’t lost any time

SKW is giving out earliest class dates in november now, if you'll have mins by then apply now.

I’m about to pass 1,000. Is this too early to start sending apps out? I am averaging 80 hours a months

Why are y’all waiting? I applied to OO with 800 and had a class date 2 months later. And this was before they were hiring 200 per month.. they check your hours in ground school one more time to make sure you hit it. You can absolutely be hired with less. I started OO with 975 and got the remaining 25 in sim.

You applied 200 out. I’m 500 out… see what I’m getting at?

Ah I see. I’d say 200 out seems like a good amount of hours out to apply. Remember, you’re not the only one in these shoes. There are lot of guys who’ve been waiting since March 2020 to get on, there will be a little bit of a wait regardless.

You're 6 months from required hours. We're scheduling classes 5 months out. If you apply now and don't have the hours recruiting is looking for, it doesn't just get tossed. You update it and when you hit their magic number, you get a call. You'll have to have the hours before starting class, but it's not like you can't get your class date pushed. No reason not to apply.
