Thank you all. Everyone who shared a note of experience and offered words of advise and encaragment to a fellow pilot is a true PRO, THE WORDS WERE SAID LOUD AND CLEAR OFFERED THE GOOD AND THE UGLY SIDE OF THINGS..AND THAT WHAT WE ALL SHOULD LOOK FOR TO BE THE BEST PILOTS WE CAN BE.

A buddy of mine washed out of training at XJT. Made it all the way to sim 6, then they let him go because of poor performance- he's now in the CRJ at CHQ, oddly enough! :p

Just have a good attitude, and be willing to fess up to your mistakes.

If it makes you feel any better, ALL of the regionals NEED pilots so bad, you would of had to have done 10 years of manslaughter to not get hired. Your golden, just be honest and make sure you let them know you have learned. My 2 cents

I am far from the manslaughter...LOL, I appreciate the humor in the situation (we all kinda need it sometime). I am prepared for it and will come out clean telling my story. I did learned a great lesson from it.
Cheers to all.

Ditto what most guys have said on here already. Just make sure you are aware of what areas you are weak on from previous experience and try your hardest to not make the same mistakes again.

As an instructor I see plenty of people who breeze through systems and don't know basic pilot skills..... Also plenty of great sticks that don't know how to take multiple choice tests..... (like choosing C on a T/F question...true story)
You don't have to be a genius and get 100%, also don't have to be maverick but you must meet basic standards. Do that, and you will succeed.

Don't look at a training failure as a character flaw or take it personally. I have met great people that just need a little direction, motivation, or extra guidance and with that they will succeed. If you have integrity, honesty, and are forthcoming about the situation, people will be willing to give you your shot at success. When they do, it is up to you.

Keep at it and Good luck.

Googled this excerpt from http://www.faa.gov/pilots/lic_cert/p...w/media/qa.rtf

(1) Hired and Employed. For all practical purposes under PRIA, the terms ‘hired’ and ‘employed’ both refer to that point in time when a pilot has been offered, and has accepted, a position as a pilot with an entity. Whether a pilot has begun training, completed training, or has already been released to begin service as a pilot, has no significant bearing on the definition of ‘hired’ or ‘employed.’ Both terms are to be interpreted as having the same meaning.

Did you resign or were you terminated? You may consider calling AOPA, their advise could be helpful.
