Default Lightspeed Mach 1 + CRJ....any good?

I am training right now for a large regional airline and will be flying the CRJ out of MKE and hopefully ORD if my bid goes through. Anyway, I am looking at headsets more suitable for use in a jet. I am leaning towards the Lightspeed Mach 1. Anyone else use it in a regional jet environment and have comments/recommendations? I have been using the Bose X in the Seneca IV/V I used to fly, but do not want to be carrying it around the airport as it is bulky EVEN IF IT WILL WORK FINE IN THE CRJ, I'M SURE IT WILL.

Any recommendations?

$499 at Sporty's...not cheap. I used the Telex 850 in the CRJ, worked great, needs no batteries, and goes for around $400 new.

Mach 1 is outstanding. You will hardly ever have to replace the battery. It's got excellent costumer service. You will not regret it. Very comfortable

Sennheiser HMEC-25KAS dude - Already told you!! Stop by my room after class tomorrow...it looks good.

P.S. You're gonna be stuck in MKE even longer than me hehe.

P.P.S. So they finally let you join, eh?!

I use the Mach 1 in the ERJ, which is a much noisier cockpit, IMHO- and they've worked wonderfully! I prefer them to the old Bose X headset I have.

Ditto on the Mach 1. Splurge for the custom molded earseals as well, they make a good headset even better. Their customer service is outstanding, I have had a few clips break and they just keep sending them to me (here within a few days) no questions asked.

not trying to rain on your parades, but its not a legal headset for use in the 121 environment. The LS Mach-1 is not TSO'd... however, your buddy w. the Sennheiser HMEC-25KAS is onto a good thing. If you work for an alpa carrier you can get the sennheisers for a cheap price directly from sennheiser. Awesome headset, and its not a legal issue...
