Everybody is hiring so it really depends on where you want to live.
As stated the companies with top contracts AND low upgrade times right now are XJT, SKW & Republic. Eagle's work rules are good and their upgrade time could be coming down significantly
You'll probably need to go to a group interview to get a call for SKW. XJT just takes a little time to process your application, I got a call after four weeks. I'm not sure of the timeline with Republic but I don't think you need an internal rec but I'm sure it would speed things up. I'm not sure about the process with Eagle
Get your stuff out there and then make your choice

Best Job to pick:
Company: McDonalds
Job: Burger Flipper
Location: Any
Starting pay is about the same. Progression to Assistant Manager and then Store Manager pays a little less than a CRJ Capt.
Prove yourself and wind up owning a store or two within ten years and make more than an AMR 777 Capt at an age well below what his is.

XJT may not be so great right now because they could very well send you to LAX or ONT. Not a problem if you live out west and want to commute or already live there with your parents. Otherwise the cost of living will break you quick.

If you don't get your first base choice, folks are getting it within 3 months.
