Well i guess PSA is the clear winner even though it was not in the list.
could you elaborate on this specially for a noob like me who doesn’t get these C/N tfayd terms. doesn’t skywest have SAP/Trip dropping on sked+ last i heard? Technically we have trip dropping through Sked+, but there needs to be sufficient reserves in the appropriate bucket to cover the entire trip, in base, and maybe even system wide, to actually drop into open time. Since we are chronically understaffed, there are never enough reserves to cover your trip, so you can never drop. There is the ability to post and pray that someone else wants your trip, but if it's anything other than a high paying local or a good standup, fuhgeddaboudit. Occasionally you can trade with someone, or split the trip up into more desirable pieces to get someone to pick it up. Cash helps too. You can also exchange a pairing you don't want with one in company open time, but company constraints on number of days, number of reserves on the days you want to get rid of, and other unknown line constraints usually result in Failure When all else fails, platinum days. In summary, we have the option to drop, but usually that translates to the inability to drop |

Coverage needed or something like that, means your working on a day you didn't bid to work, in addition to all the days you did bid to work for. Thanks for all you do. LOL...

“Company need”, it’s not assigned on a day you specifically bid off. It’s the pairing scraps left over that wasn’t already assigned. I’ve been burned by some junk “CN” standups myself. I’ve also been assigned some VERY senior trips a few times. It’s obviously a huge flaw in the system that ticks off everyone.

I can't speak to the others, but I can verify that schedule flexibility isn't very good at OO. Normally even at fairly high seniority, you'll be scheduled for so much flying that it's difficult to trade trips over different days even if you find someone who wants to. I can't say I've never been able to drop anything, but it's been a rare occasion that finds me with the opportunity to drop a trip that I wish to drop.

I thought PSA had junior Manning so even if you get your dream schedule they can just positive space you into another trip.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The only time I’ve been jr manned were due to maintenance and weather issues on the last day which extended me a additional day. When you get extended, it’s usually DH back to base on the last day. That was my experience while I was at PSA. PSA doesn’t jr man like Air Wisconsin do... |
