Hope this makes sense.
I was wrong, it is seven days, but not the month Prior. If you are scheduled to be done by the seventh day of the bid period, you can bid for that bid period.

This is from the manual.

b) A crewmember in long term training, whose scheduled IOE completion date
plus seven days (7) is within the subsequent bid period, will be allowed to bid in
the subsequent bid period utilizing PBS. The crewmember will be allowed to bid
on the remaining days available in the subsequent bid period using the PBS. If
the crewmember completes IOE prior to the end of the pre-assigned long-term
training days, the company may add trips from open time or reserve days as
applicable.

I guess bla bla bla must be right.... I called the PBS hep line and they told me IOE must finish within the 7th of the month prior.

SeattleCFI, do you know the exact place in the manual where it says that? I looked quite a bit but couldn't find that paragraph.
Also, did you go through IOE recently and managed to benefit from the procedure you outlined?

It is under the bid eligibility section of scheduling of the policy manual. I went through Capt IOE last September and that is how it was then.
