I just hope I am on with a major by then.......but then again about that time I would be on the bottom of their list and we all know thats the last place you want to be when the music stops.............., I think 5 years is premature pending any "JIHAD" this industry has been running way tooooo thin on pilots, and yes more and more guys are retiring.......................there will be hiring for the next ten at this rate................

I dont believe this is true. If a regional goes under it wont be because of staffing issues. you can find plenty of underqualified people to fly and fix the airplanes. it will be a matter of other economic forces... but at any rate it wont happen to any of the regionals that are currently growing or stable
