Oh it’s definitely a bait and switch scam. $250K for a Dash 8 Captain isn’t a sustainable business model. That and no no revenue flights have ever happened so there’s no proof you’ll get paid what they say.

In their defense, i dont see 250k salary bragging on their site. I saw it on avgeekery.com. The media embellishments for clicks...not a shocker.
Here is a breakdown as I understand it. 15k per month 15x12=180k 1.5k per month. 1.5x12=9k So 189k is really the only guarantee, which isn't bad. The single digit seniority brag is laughable. If you are #2 on the seniority list of 2, guess who is the most junior? 12 days off isn't great, but if you're home every night, it's not bad. Seniority wouldn't really matter if that was true though. So it's odd they brag about it... 5%of your 401k is included in that calculation the MEDIA used. I don't see any strings on the 24k per year bonus. Up to %10 profit sharing requires profit. How many start ups in all of history made a profit in their first year? Even the unicorns like WN and JB were 2 years I think. And that might not have even been enough to give 10% to the pilots. So that 18k is VERY iffy. So 180+9+24=$213k a year isn't bad at all....though would more count it as 16.5k a month for financial planning. If connect (not the media) is claiming 250k a year, then i would frown upon their marketing more. But all the regionals (not just the media) are using bonuses like that and claiming "1st year pay up to..." It is clearly a risk, but even working for 2-6 months (if they only lasted that long) could be worth the risk. You aren't losing a whole bunch vs. other options (assuming your only other choice is to try a regional and can't get hired at a major). I'd be leary about 15k per month guarantee claim. Is there any 121 carrier that pays monthly salary? I would need to have that in writing before I would apply there. Do year 1 CA make as much as year 12? Is there seniority or longevity benefits? Very odd. And without that 15k a month, I would run far away from this company. It seems like a DEC only airline which as most said isn't really sustainable and I don't see why anyone would join if they weren't getting the "smart CA" package. |
If this place is legit they desperately need someone to come on here to change the narrative….

I’m interested to see the types. Over a dozen is impressive. I once flew with a check airman when I was a regional FO. He had 42 types, plus B-29 Flight Engineer, and an unlimited piston type which I thought was cool. His paper pilot certificate was several pages.
Leave out the SIC only types. |

Sounds like something happened to you. Whether you care to share or not is up to you but saying these things with nothing to back it up is pointless.
Regarding training contracts. You invest 20-30 grand in someone and they leave is that good business? No. Hence the point of training contracts. If people had integrity there would be no need for them but I can tell you that’s for sure not the case |

So what? So basically your cool with going through training and just leaving right? Great integrity you have there

Nothing to lighten up about. I’ve seen many pilots leave right after training. Not good. If there wasn’t a bunch of garbage out there then there wouldn’t be a need for them. End of story
