Colgan's Q400s?

Anybody hear any rumors within the last few days that Colgan lost the Contract with Continental for the Q400's???

Apollo 06-22-2007 09:07 AM

Where did you get that information?

visceral 06-22-2007 10:27 AM

And its all because of ALPA! Seriously, much like the Pinnacle purchase, the pilots working here would be the last to know.

Baronpilot 06-22-2007 02:10 PM

WOW! That would be terrible for you Colgan guys.

Apollo 06-22-2007 02:16 PM

Let's just take it easy. So far there is no information to support this. Let's get the facts before conclusions are made.

lol, that's a good one

Let me guess- this rumor came from ExpressJet First Officer- Saabbarowski?

Saab shouldn't you actually fly and stop making up useless CJC rumors?

Rumor, Colgan would not have ordered the Q400 if the contract could be taken away that easy. They signed a long term contract (7 years i believe). They haven't even recieved a Q400 yet, why would they lose the contract even if they could, which they couldn't.

I don't think Colgan bought the airplanes. My understanding was that Continental bought them and was going to lease them to Colgan.

dingo222 06-22-2007 07:14 PM

Peanucle corp owns the planes. They are not on lease back to cjc or peanucle. I'll find that press release link from bombardier somewhere and post it.
