While I have always heard GoJet referred to as the “scab” side compared to the honorable side TSA. I do very much agree that these labels probably are justified and warranted. Could you provide specifics as to what occurred on this date…..all I can find is wrongful termination suit of some guy who got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes…….and I’m assuming that’s not it.
This means that if you fly for gojet and not in aviate .. you can't apply off the street to UA?? |
Looks like JetBlue is the true aviate flow!

Since this thread is revived...I have a question. On the new aviate requirements a few months ago... It says "the only career path to a First Officer role at United for pilots Curently flying for an Aviate-participating United Express carrier is via the Aviate program"

Don't give up and don't rely on any 'flow' type program. Aviate is probably worse with respect to guarantees compared to American WO flow and Endeavor but it's goal is the same, to keep you in your seat as long as possible. Keep it as a backup but manage your own career and get all the good experience you can. |

Upgrade as soon as possible and try to get check pilot, instructor or management experience. Once you have that then look to go to a national or ACMI carrier for a new type rating.

Didn’t UAL put a policy in place not that long ago to prevent this type of behavior where if you leave the Aviate carrier for somewhere else, you’d be blocked for a period of time? I was thinking that it was something like 2 years, but I can’t remember considering how frequently they seem to change the rules.
