Dont go to PSA if you care about your PRIA. Peidmont or envoy has far superior training.

So I got an email from Envoy recruiting today--plus a couple others from Piedmont and PSA over the past week or so. My, how times have changed!
Figured I'd crowdsource some of my research rather than parsing every little detail myself. My first impression is that Envoy has the best deal at present with "50% premium pay for all pilot hourly rates until August 31, 2024," (assuming, of course, they really mean 150%). Are they serious? The others aren't offering/guaranteeing anything like this, are they? Otherwise, all the other details seem pretty much the same across the three carriers' current programs (I'm looking specifically at their DEC offerings, btw). I'm typed in the ERJ, but I live in the Dayton area, so not sure where to fit PSA on my list. Thoughts? |

If you are a DEC in Dayton you will be on reserve forever. There are 5 year captains that cannot hold lines in Dayton. Super senior on the captain side in Dayton, but you could at least drive to work. ERJ 145 is trash so don’t bother with Piedmont. Go with PSA or Envoy.

Unless you drive to Mesa or GoJet. Go somewhere else in that case. No Mesa, No GoJet. The rest are all fine.

Thanks for the info re DAY. I don't really care about the equipment--been flying those trash 145s most of my career anyway so might as well get the bonus for it... But that does bring up another question: Are the pay rates the same for all types?

One thing I have to give Mesa: they still exist. Not sure how, but they do.
Gotcha, thanks. I think you're probably right but, just to put things in perspective, 50 seaters have been going away for 20 years. Also, Envoy is getting PBS. XJT did finally get EFBs, but then they shut down. The only facts in this business are historical facts. |

New terminals are being built that are not accommodating to 50 seaters for a reason. DCA and IAD for example. They’re going away one way or another
