Big help, Thanks a lot!

This may be a dumb question, but...would it be in any way possible by some fluke or something for someone to maybe be able to take night classes a few nights a week with the types of schedules you guys have being based out of BOS? I know probablly not, but my dream right now is to somehow figure out how I can go back to school and keep an airline job somehow...

I dont think that would be a problem. There are at least 30 colleges in the Boston area, and our most junior lines working weekends and having off Tues/Wed/Thurs. You would be able to have a full 3 days per week of availability for classes. Also look into online classes. Most all of our overnights have free wireless internet available.

I don't know that volatile is the right word to use for anything at Eagle. The future is clearly defined - flowbacks returning to AA and native Eagle guys with AA numbers to follow - untill the AMR-APA negotiations are concluded. And then whatever is decided in those talks (like scope relief) will clearly define Eagle's future for maybe the next ten years.

The future hidden from view right now, but it is not going to fluctuate wildly, from one extreem to another. When it does appear it will be (relatively) clear. Eagle is not going away anytime soon. They're not turning off the upgrades soon. They're not dramaticly changing anytime soon, for better or worse.

Well said, I should have stated that differently. I dont think AMR will outsource more flying to anyone. I dont think Eagle will shrink noticeably. I think overall seat capacity of AE will remain the same until we see some contracts being negotiated for AA and AE. Flowbacks are leaving and we do have people retiring, upgrades are dropping slightly maybe to about 4-5yrs.

Is that for the RJs and the Saab?

That would not be a problem at all; pretty much everyone is getting where ever they want because we're so short right now, plus LGA is our least desireable base bacause no one wants to live in NYC because of the cost.
They can hardly get enough guys in there to fill their lines, so reserve would be minimal too, like less than a month probablly (as mine was).
I held a hard-line with 15 days off just 3 weeks off of IOE. The only reason I was on reserve at all in LGA was because I got off of IOE in the middle of the month after the bidding was over.

Yea, I'm originally from Boston love it there. I had been meaning to go back to school because I was in grad school when I dropped out to jump on the airline hiring boom; now I'm regretting it. I'm studying up for the LSAT and hoping to get into Suffolk Law for the fall of '08, but like I said, I'm weary of starting it up and then having it fall apart if the schedules were to conflict.

So you're schedules tend to have a consistant number of days off, like the same days of the week off during the month...and you've not been jr'manned there?

PDT is on a big jr'man kick right now so you can't even count on your days off because they'll just extend you or junior man you to work.

How did that happen? i've been off IOE for over a month and don't see myself getting a line anytime at LGA within the next few months. When were you hired??

Most lines have continuity (same days off each week, same trip sequences). Jr manning in BOS is very rare. 0 times in 3yrs for me. Ill see if I can get a hold of a bid packet to post some of the lines on here.
