CRJ or ERJ. Take the ERJ, much better schedules and variety.

As a base it is great. Great crews. The chief pilots are a good bunch and are straight with you. Expect an EDCT time every other leg though.

thanks for the help! What is an EDCT time though?

EDCT = Expect Departure Clearance Time. In other words ground delays due to:

-traffic
-weather
-nonstandard runway configuration
-enroute delays
-normal operations

My record flying into ORD was a 13 hr EDCT due to "ground movement saturation from deicing events" (IE lack of gate space)

ok, should have figured that one out, I was in JFK for a bit so I know what that is all about. Thanks for the help. What is reserve life like in ORD?

If you need an internal reference let me know. I get $500 and I will split it with you. Always thinking ahead.

The Training Center at AA/AE HQ is one of the best in the business. Training is definitely above average for a regional. Instructors are all knowledgeable and experienced. You should be more than prepared for the checkride, so dont worry!

I'm considering applying at Eagle and I would like to know how long the instruction takes? How many weeks do indoc, systems, and sims take? Does it run one right after another or is the training broken up? I've also read that Eagle is allowing new hires to choose bases and equipment. Maybe that has changed now, but what type of equipment goes with what base? If given the chance, I would prefer the ERJ, but is that a DFW plane? Thanks for the heads up in advance.

I'll go to Eagle if I can have $400. You'll still come out ahead.
