DCA Crashpad
I am looking for a DCA crashpad starting August 1. If anyone has a link or knowledge about one close to Crystal City (Walking distance to DCA or the Metro) I would love to hear about it.

I think the upgrade will be in the current vacancy. I hope so. The last one put me just 5 places behind the most junior awarded captain slot.
The current one is for 14 captain positions. I don't know how many upgrades it will result in, but I am guessing about 10. There are a number of people not taking it as far as I can tell.
I hope it comes this time. No guarantees, but my fingers are crossed.

As of June 20th, assuming NO ONE else quits between then and August 1st, we are -4 CA's for August. Yesterday in the PHL crew room as JR man city for CA's.....Its gonna get ugly...real ugly.

Give it a shot. Never hurts to try. But in your situation I would think that you would want to be as close to home as possible. If you are financially set, why not? But at this stage in your career, it's more or less a hobby job.

I had a 58 year old and a 55 year old in my class at AWAC, both INDY guys till the end, and wanted a flying job for the last few years.
