I have that Samsonite bag you're talking about. Picked it up for $49. One of the best buys I've made.

Same here. They are still around at discounters like TJ Maxx, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory and Marshalls.

It's also available through buy.com http://www.buy.com/prod/samsonite-2-...ml#prodInfoSec
but it's $84.99 incl. shipping and includes a worthless tote

Yup I bought it in Marshalls. After tax it was like $53 and change. Lots of room, about half the weight. Only downfall is the clip to hold the flight case but I fixed that in about 2 minutes. If you don't make much and don't feel like spending much swing by Marshalls and see if they still have any left on sale.

what is the best PN to get for a new hire going to the saab? I am willing to spend some $ now so i dont have to replace it down the road. is the stealth the way to go?

Can't speak for the Saab, but the 737 Bag works GREAT in the CRJ; easily fits in the overhead, under the seats, or in the closet.

Thats not the Samsonite that I meant. The one I am talking about was discountinued in the mid to late 90s and was a hard side bag, perfect for a 3 day trip. I think Delta may have had it issued as a crew bag or something because I still see a lot of Delta guys wheeling it around.

I've had my LW/PNT bag now for nearly 5 years, the only malfunction I have had is the foam handle cover tore-I fixed it with a handle cover(4 years ago) other then scratches, best damn bag I have EVER had!!!

If you get the LW/PNT bag, make sure you get a stabilizer strap!!! it makes a huge difference in keeping your flight kit from swinging.

I have a briggs and riley. It gets some serious abuse flying for a regional airline. I have had to have repairs, they were always no questions asked, it is covered. If you have a repair shop close they can do it there no charge. Sometimes (i.e. wheels) they send you the parts.

Pnt 106ng

Purdy Neat 106NG is the best. Same as 103NG but has a handy & well-padded laptop pocket in the front. No need for an extra laptop bag, unless you want to look like a pack-mule!
