Success story...

But my time on APC has made me a bit of a realist. I'm getting in to this industry with both eyes wide open. I know that I could end up with a lot of money and a great job that I love. I also know that there is a chance that I could end up a penniless, divorced pauper. Maybe not quite that extreme but I know it could happen. But for me, as with most people on this site, I know the risks of the business and I feel that the potential reward and love of flying in general FAR outweighs the negatives (Potential and inevitable). To the original poster, Didn't mean to take away from your friends accomplishment at all. Much congratulations to him, his fortune, and his many years of an outstanding career that he has ahead of him!

I have known several people who appeared to have achieved career Nirvana only to have it snatched away not long after getting there. No one knows what their fate is until their 60th birthday.
