Default Success story...

Talked to my buddy the other day who is a 170 CA, and must say I am quite impressed with his career progression. He got hired at 21, upgraded on the 170 at 23, and now at just over 26 he has 2000 PIC in the 170.. oh ya.. and he just got hired by SWA.. at barely 26 years of age.

So for all the doom and gloom being posted on this and other boards, it was nice to see a close friend "make it".. at least for now

Not to be SkyHigh here or downplay your friend's achievements (Because lord knows I would -LOVE- to land a job at SWA that quick). Your friend's successs story could QUICKLY turn in to one of those typical doom and gloom stories. All it takes is SWA taking a nosedive, or some unforseen world changing event and his beautiful career that he has to look forward to could come to a crashing halt... I really hate to agree with the doom and gloomers but you have to realize that they have a very valid point... most of them anyways...

Do you lay awake at night thinking about all the doom and gloom? Man, you've spent to much time at Riverside.

Default Luck

I am sure the guy jumped through every hoop and fulfilled every obligation to get there but all this story demonstrates is that timing and luck are everything.

Every week someone also wins at powerball as well so buy those lottery tickets!!
