American Eagle in ORD?

id say between 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic and the time of day you take the 80/94 to the 294 to ORD

Depends where you live. Check travel.airwise.com/schedules and see how many options you would have from your home airport to ORD or LGA. Both airports are prone to delays and congestion, so I would say its a toss up. If you bid for LGA you would be guaranteed the ERJ, and would be allowed to easily transfer to ORD if the commute didnt work out too well. If you bid for ORD you might get the CRJ, and the only other base that has the CRJ is DFW. Food for thought, congrats on the job and good luck chosing a base.

it is very easy to find a crash pad. they usually are $125-$200/month.

depends on the time of day. with a 2 hr callout it wouldn't be too prudent as traffic stinks in the morning.

Take ORD unless LGA is a much easier commute for you. JMO having commuted to both. Your rise up the list should be quicker in ORD and crashpads are plentiful and generally more easily accessible there (the city's crackdown on crashpads notwithstanding, not familar since that happened).
