Well, hold on a second here... was it a 32G or a 64G?

The industry has changed and younger pilots are taking advantage of it. Why assume that because some are hired with low times they don't value their jobs?

For some people all problems are apparently caused by how "easy" new hires apparently have had it vs how "hard" is used to be back in the good 'ole days. Sounds more like jealousy, or the "I had to go through crap to get here, so anyone else that didn't is unworthy." While there is occasionally a bit of truth to be found in these arguments, I'm frankly getting tired of them.

In life, there are always people that have it easier than others. Getting jealous / angry at them is a complete waste of time. If you want more out of life, make it happen yourself and don't worry about how easy or hard someone else might have had it.

I dont see why they let him fly because the flight was running late...

I think a theft over $200 is considered grand larceny, which is a FELONY.

Negative, felony is over $1000

+1

I agree. I've noticed people act different on the forums. Every captain that has asked gave similar responses. First they are shocked, 'what!? You really got hired into this RJ with 500 TT/60 multi?" Then they seem happy for me. "Well good for you son! Back when I got hired here I had to grind out 4,000 hours first. I had to walk 5 miles uphill to the airport barefoot in the snow at 2 am, then load 1000 pounds of mail by myself, drain the oil and warm it up by a fire I started with flint and twine, then hand crank both props while eating my breakfast. Most nights i spent sleeping in the hanger fighing off blood sucking bats before i was hired here. You don't know how lucky you have it boy."
