What's the latest and greatest on Skyway (Midwest Connect)? Are they still looking at phasing out the B1900's? Acquiring more DO-328's? Any info would be great. Thanks.

They wanted to phase them out by the end of this year, but are not for sure on that yet. I believe they acquired a few more 328's but not sure on plans for any future growth of the 328. The people there are great and it would be a great company to start with, especially if you are from the Milwaukee area, the only problem is when Air Tran acquires Midwest there is some rumor they will do away with Skyway.

That rumor goes both ways. I've heard both that rumor and the rumor that if Air Tran takes over that it will be very good for skyway. Nobody knows.

I heard that Midwest was going to buy AirTran and rename it Skyway.

No one knows what will happen with AAI, but skyway will be around for a couple years at least no matter who acquires YX. attrition of senior pilots is still quite strong and their current plans are to staff the beech as though it will be around indefinitely. the 328 is currently only staffed with roughly half the number of FO's and CA's that they want, so they should continue to hire through the fall and winter.

I believe Skyway published minimums are 700/50, but I know they've hired people with less.
