Thanks for the info. If you're MTSU alum, then I'm sure you are familiar with MTSU express...aka, Regions Air, formerly Corporate Airlines. I'm thinking of a place like that or other similar type operator, Great Lakes, Colgan, etc. Low mins, quick upgrade, and still PIC turbine.

GliderCFI,
Yes, I am familiar with Regions Air. In fact I know the DO there. Many of my friends flew there, and several of Regions/Corporate Air pilots went on to AirTran. Some also moved onto SWA. The upgrade if pretty quick last time I checked. If I were to get back into it (flying that is), I'd probably go there or try for some local cargo gig. Rumor is (Rumor only) that Regions Air might be getting Saabs sometime in the future.
Also, have you tried Averitt? I think you would fly out of BNA or Crossville. I believe their headquarters for the flight dept is in Crossville. Check it out.
Good Luck!

$15,000 to $20,000 for 10 years. Where did you get that. Eagle pay sucks but it isnt that bad.
Year 2 EMJ F/O $30.97/hr, its close to $30k yr.
Training is good, upgrades are non-existent. I have 400 captains with less seniority because of the flowbacks.

guys at my old school have gotten hired below 500tt with AE, Eagle has a training contract with Flight Safety... you prove you can fly the emb 145 for 50 hours then eagle sends someone down to give a checkride, after that they throw you in one of their classes. Done deal, ASA hires Below 300tt, exj 400tt, and transstates 300tt.... you get hired first then you do the training. no risks or gimicks

I left Eagle three months ago to go to corporate flying. Unless you want to build SIC time for next eight years with very little pay, I suggest you apply at Skywest! If you don't have the hours, instruct or do a pay to play. Maybe Eagle will lower their mins, but trust me everyone is unhappy. People are leaving faster than the training dept. can put them out. It's not captains and eight year FOs either; it's newbees that are there for less than a year like I was. Translation, you will be on ready reserve forever! If you plan to go somewhere short term, go somewhere you can upgrade quick.

I've never flown for eagle but have plenty of friends that do, and they are second guessing ever taking the job. When they were hired aprox 6 years ago it was one of the few places that wasn't pay for training. Build your trime instructing or flying freight do not pay for training. It may get you a job now, but when you try to get a job later down the road it will probably bite you in the ass. plus you are just showing management that YOU are willing to fly for free, and lowereing the salaries of the rest of us.

I got hired with 590 104 multi, place seemed desperate to get people, even helping people correct their failed exams. Place is so tied to AMerican that no one can know where it will be in a year, last year this time we all wanted to work for Comair, look at that fat slob of a pig airline now. I ended up with Xjt and place seems good, but again if CAL goes down we sink with her. Good luck.
