CRJ or ERJ?

Does anyone have any preference and why?

*sigh* another one of these threads, eh?

Whichever one gets you a seniority number fastest.

One is a jet-powered turboprop, the other is a stretched business jet. Both are built on extreme compromise, and both aren't built to last. The EMB's avionics are more advanced, it climbs better and has an approach/landing like a "real jet" while the CRJ has a larger cabin, is faster at cruise, and has a MUCH more comfortable cockpit/jumpseat.

The CRJ is a turbo prop? I thought they were both jets.

I was just wondering if I was given the choice which would be the lesser of two evils.

Trully though, any barbie jet would be awesome to me :D

The E-145 is a stretched, jet powered Brasilla.

The CRJ is a stretched, underpowered CL-601.

Hey diseda

CRJ or ERJ pretty nice aircraft however I have a good friend of mine flying with Comair (CRJ) and told me that The AC is little more hand full but nothing to be worry about it. ERJ little bit easier (GLASS COKPIT) but noisy cabin for what I am understanding..!

Cheers

The ones I have seen are both glass. Why is the CRJ harder? Does it have less power? Do either of them have auto throttles?

BoilerUP 08-20-2007 04:28 AM

ERJ has Honeywell (I think?) avionics, while the CRJ has Collins ProLine4.

Autothrottles? HA! Those things cost money...

av8tr_2007 08-20-2007 04:32 AM

Aotothrottles Lol, just dreaming here...

I have some sim time in the CRJ. Not too bad just kept having to chase the airspeed with the throttles all the time.

BTW, I love your avatar Boiler! Too cute
