NOBODY should want 70 seaters at Continental. Nobody. |
when he visited my class a few months ago he mentioned that with alot of pilot contracts coming up for negotiations that the unions will be looking to protect or get back the pay and retierment benifits that they lost in the past few years. In return he says the union groups will have to give something up and the only thing they have left to lose is scope.

More small jets outsourced away from mainline might be good for your short-term upgrade...but they're hell for all of our career progression and expectations. |
This is all good news for MAG would-be lateral movers! 1.7 year upgrade at Skywest is great... I imagine I will be doing a lot of right seat four-stripe flying in the next few months. :(

Why, exactly, would any group have to give up anything? |

Why, exactly, would any group have to give up anything? There is no shortage of mainline pilots. Never will be. |
