anyone else get a certified letter in the mail. I know someone talked about this a few pages ago but missed what it was. Is it a bill for all the kool aid I drank? anyone?

That message on Epic is interesting. It says that there is no news or information on how Delta's reductions, but that further information would be distributed via Epic and email when the information comes available. Sounds like it will definitely have an effect on Comair.

Pinnacle 900 parked in CVG for the last 2 days. Is that one of there's that they aren't using, or a new one waiting to be worked into their schedule. (If Pinnacle, or Mesaba aren't even flying all of their 900s then we are screwed!)

I am hearing about Captains that are picking up open time until the union puts out some kind of message not to....... I can't believe this!

The contract says we can returned lease aircraft on schedule, not dump owned aircraft.

As far as oversights, there are plenty of "oversights" in the contract bigger than that one.

Your right Boomer. The A/C are up for sale and are company owned. It does not look good for Comair right now.............and the band played on.

You would think that the Company would allow furloughees to work in other capacities in the company, but according to some, they have been telling people not to expect a call back. This economy sucks. I wonder how long it will be before the flight side of the operation is finally....shut down?

GR if they are not going to call us back then TELL US. the one thing holding me back from getting a type rating through the WIA is the fact that "I could be recalled" Im like NO I am not going to be recalled, but they wont listen. gr

Perhaps Comair is selling off company assets to raise capitol for purchasing new equipment? The last "Vag" meeting I went to he made sever references to the Q400 idea.

Optimism is not one of my greatest assets, but given the current state of Comair, I need to believe that they have good intentions for something.

There is no way a professional company that has been around for 30+ years can be this malicious.

For you guys that are wondering what is going on and what is going to happen to Comair, stop posting your questions on this forum. You will not get an answer. Or you will get the wrong answer. Send an email to the new president, he will email you back. His email is on epic in the employee directory. You will get better answers from him.

I have two questions for you:

1- Why would racall stop you from getting a type rating? If you get recalled, the company will have to give you a 30 day notice which is plenty of time to allow you to get your type rating.

2-How do you get your type rating paid for by WIA?

I share your optimism (that Comair may survive the next 6 months only by the grace of DaddyD), but in the press I've read the vage was careful to say that Delta is seriously considering turboprops, with no mention of Comair being the operator.

Mesa will be 30 in a year. And Enron can trace its roots back to 1932.

It is an operational spare. It has been there for a lot more than 2 days. Freedom also has a couple spares sitting ready.

Why are you so surprised? Either they don't care about those on furlough, or they are about to be downgraded and are making as much as they can at the higher pay rate before their downgrade.

That is nothing new. There've been quite a few captains who have openly stated they are picking stuff up in open time, dropping trips, etc....
