Are we able to give out a few buddy passes for the next 30 days?

How do you read that paragraph?

I guess one could qualify for unemployment beenies, according to that paragraph. It looks to me like a release form. You are giving up any (possible) claims against the company, except for unemployment. I'd call the Unemployment Office of your State to verify if indeed one would qualify for benefits.

Does anyone know if the Jan. 19th guys and gals will be receiving a profit-sharing check (assuming ANYONE gets one)? I would think we would, as we were on the property for the whole quarter (getting abused). Any insight would be great.

Oh, I better get a PS check (if the company issues them). If I don't, I will travel around on our planes and vomit in the seatback pocket of each said plane :D

But you know me, I'm not bitter ;)

I would think that after working until April and with the possibility of taking the vacation before then, that they should have to pay it to you. You have earned it at that point. Now leaving Jan 1st and expecting it would be different, but that isn't what we are talking about.

Each year we accrue credits for the next year's vacation. Your 2009 vacation was earned in 2008.

Upon separation in April 2009 you will have whatever unused 2009 vacation credits and 3 months worth of 2010 vacation credit to be paid out.

A 5th year guy who takes the buyout and doesn't take vacation in Jan-April will get 50 hours of vacation pay (40 hours earned in 2008 and 10 hours earned in Jan-March 2009)

Anyone have the EIN number for Comair handy? I won't be home until Tuesday and I wanted to file UI Monday. Please post it or PM me if you have it.
Thanks!:D

Hey Guys, regarding the early retirement offer, anyone have any idea what "a weeks" pay is?

According to the memo they will figure an average 80-hour month for pilots.

80 hrs x (12 months / 52 weeks) = 18.46 hours per week.

The memo also states that the payout will be based on the pay rate at time of separation, and the pilot payscale bumps up on March 2nd.

I am wondering if the company will actually work with you on a separation date, or if they will just tell you when your last day will be?

Does anyone know if we take this separation package and we have recently given out buddy passes, if those tickets will still be good, or if they become void as of the separation date?

So as a 5 year FO leaving under this plan would I travel around on S3B priority at 5 years of seniority for the next five years, or would it be S3B priority and a seniority date of your separation date?

I know most of this stuff will probably be answered in one of the upcoming meetings, just thought I would see what you guys think.

I am planning on leaving, so hopefully one of you guys on the street will be back on the property sooner than later.
