Section 6. H. - A pilot who is eligible for Company paid moving expenses may elect to have his move paid from a location other than the domicile from which the pilot is being transferred, to his new location. However, the Company's financial responsibility will not exceed the cost of moving from the domicile from which he is transferred to his new domicile.

There is no actual mention of distance but assuming a moving company charges based on miles, It's the same thing.

Blue, this post is toally unrelated but I just wanted to say, may the best team win this saturday at the Out ahhhh I mean big house. (Snicker)!!!!

Kind of B.S. That involuntary guys can't bypass even once. Do they want us to drop everything we were doing and come running back some of us found jobs and have commitments. Wouldn't it make sense to bypass and allow a guy junior to us that may not have been able to find another job to come back. I would even be willing to give up incremental seniority on each recall to stay on the furlough list until the end.

I sure hope the best team doesn't win, because this year that means we will lose (I fear I won't have to watch past halftime...but I won't be sober enough to care by then anyway). We have been pretty horrible.

Speaking of outhouse...glad to see the OSU research department is doing some groundbreaking things

Plenty of urine in Ohio State lake

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Intrepid Ohio State University researchers have learned students don’t just party in a campus lake during rituals before the annual Michigan game.

They also excrete there.

Thousands of students will jump into Ohio State’s Mirror Lake tonight, ahead of Saturday’s

Before, during and after last year’s big swim, the College of Earth Sciences monitored the water quality.

Postdoctoral research associate Steve Goldsmith says the lake’s temperature went up 3 degrees throughout the night, and the ammonia level surged. He says body heat could explain the warmer water, but the ammonia likely means one thing: urine.

Goldsmith advises students to have fun, just not open their mouths.
Maybe they can do some groundbreaking research on the urine content of the Ohio River next or public swimming pools.

perhaps, but the assumption is that very few furloughs will elect to come back, so it may not even be an issue.

if you're out of work with no prospects, take the recall. if you've found something else, it would think carefully about this decision. barring miraculous developments, best case you might one day get off reserve as an FO. that's about it for career expectations at Comair. if Mesa goes under (i've heard the rumors my entire 7 years at CMR) it will likely take pressure off further 50-seat reductions. all 70/90s under DAL's scope clause have been awarded, and we wouldn't get any if there were any more.

most guys here are hanging on for age 65 to hit in three years (CAL and DAL should retire 800/year for a while when it does) in the hopes that the majors will raid the regionals when they hire again. and that the 1500-hour limit to get hired at a regional (the FAA is kicking that around) and empty flight schools will result in a mass exodus/mass upgrade for those that are left. hope springs eternal.

if you've found a job that pays the same or more or you can log PIC in anything, i think coming back would be pretty risky, but in any case, do what you think is right, and ignore the inevitable what ifs...

Okay, I have an assingment for the OSU research department. I am going to ask them to research why MU is so PU this year. I think WVU may have something to do with it, or a guy with the initials R.R. :D

SuperPilotJesse 11-21-2009 06:18 AM

That's coincidental, not ironic.
