Just a guess, but around 850-900 active plus 80 furloughed.

Maybe 750-800 after the early outs on January 2.

According to the November bid packet the headcount is 835 active pilots. about 47 active pilots took January 2012 early out. We will have about 758 active pilots by 1/2/2012. That number does not include people on Military/Family/Sick leave.

How many of you ex-comair pilots went out and got an ATP? Do you think it helped your cause (non-regional airlines)?

Oh yea absolutely! Like some of the other major's are hiring solely if you have an ATP, no 121 PIC... Its worth every penny and then some.... YOu can get it done for about 1500.00 I'd get it asap...

Good guy who stepped up despite the miserable situation we were in. How many guys do you know who would lead despite knowing we would lose half the airline on his watch? (although it was announced under the previous MEC chair)

For that job a lot. Home every night, only have to say no to mang. since they always come to them with crazy proposals, yup sign me up. The Comair MEC has been a joke since J.C. ran the failed strike

current MEC chair doesn't live in CVG. i chose to fly the line over union stuff because I got to stay home a lot more, so i respect him for that. And I like the increase in communications he initiated. if you don't know what's going on, it's because you choose not to listen.

so, what would you have done that he hasn't?

Just out of curiosity, have you ever volunteered for union work cast your vote to elect the status reps?

Either that, or you're living in denial and believe everything will be ok
