Agreed but I still think something is up! Where are the furloughs? I am just trying to hang on to this crappy job til something better comes along! I refuse to work for another regional airline! Had my fill of it for the last 6 years! I am tired of reading "the get some PIC time at Silver Airways" posts. Their pay rates are a joke! Financially I can't afford to do it!!

Unless I can commute for this job I will not settle for any less. I will NEVER move for an airline job! Trying to doctor up your resume with a business degree you have never used is quite the challenge to get out of this rat race.

There are other options besides another regional.

I'm with you man. Something is up and might not be as bad as we may think. Then again I'm the perpetual optimist even in my furloughed state. Anyhow, interviewed with Silver a while back and to turn it down. Not going to Montana for PIC on a 1900 and 4 dls less than was making before the furlough. Time will tell what's going to happen at OH. Question, the contract still has language about pay rates and conditions for the E-170/175?.

I have apps at 2 majors, 1 LCC, 2 cargo companies, 1 fractional, 1 DOD contractor, and for some stupid reason 2 regionals, and waiting to put one in at a startup. Think I have all the options covered.

Nevermind.

Silver Airways has very quick upgrades. It's all about 121 PIC.

At this point, 121 PIC really doesn't matter (when looking at various seniority lists). I resigned in May, 2011 and upgraded on the Hawker 400 XP six months later, flying Part 135 (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). Five years at Comair gave me all the Part 121 time needed.

Lucky you. It doesn't strike you that half the guys at Comair aren't logging PIC?

Resigned in May 11 after 5 years... He didn't log any PIC either - that's his point.

Ah, skipped right over that. My apologies.
