Everyone needs to shut the hell up and take a chill pill. You are not going to get furloughed tomorrow or anytime soon.

Haha, reminds me of Old School where Will is freaking out about everybody remaining calm and he's actually the only one freaking out.

Our new name is going to ComPSaba

If Comair is as bad as you make it out to be, why are you still here? If I was as miserable as you seem to be, I'd be trading stocks or selling used cars!

Who said I was miserable and what I have I posted that wasn't true? If you want miserable go to the Comair ALPA web board. Incidentally, my exit strategy is already set. My new employer actually values and invests in its employees, has never had a furlough and I will make more than twice what I do at Comair. And don't even think about asking where I'm going to be working -- ancient Chinese secret.

By the way, your response above is exactly what Mr. Soaper told a pilot recurrent ground school.

Like we can't already fly on Northwest for free.

Well what did you want? A singing telegram on your front door?

They didn't issue a press release, because there was nothing to release. Delta handled that. No reason to say "Comair is announcing exactly what Delta just announced." This is Delta's merger, not ours. We're just along for the ride, same is Compass, same as Mesaba, and the other contracted carriers.

I used to have Northwest flight bene's and they blew

Uh, What?? You either haven't been here very long or are opting to ignore a very critical aspect of Comair's place at Delta's dinner table, especially when it comes to union representation. I'm betting it's the former because if you've been paying attention you would know that the hard-fought efforts of the RJDC, love 'em or hate 'em, reached a small milestone recently that resulted in ALPA national including Comair ALPA in negotiations that affect us as a wholly-owned regional affiliate of a major carrier who is also ALPA.

The other thing you left out is that Compass is represented by the same MEC as Northwest mainline ALPA. Geez, imagine that, two wholly-owned regionals with scope and flow through and the whole nine yards. What a concept. So if you think that we're "along for the ride" then be my guest. That defeatist attitude is exactly why our own MEC and pilot group endorsed THREE pay concessions in the last four years.....THREE...with not one iota of growth as a result. Doubt me? Ask our brothers at ASA about our pay concessions/freezes when they were in contract negotiations over the last five years. I've been here long enough to have my pay frozen, cut, a bankruptcy and I've been furloughed. Along for the ride, my arse. Not anymore.
