Yeah, but you're not pay protected for dropping RG. If you don't want to lose the pay, the don't drop it. If it doesn't matter and you'd like the extra 2 days off, then drop it. But don't be suprised when you aren't paid for it. Besides, RG is a joke anyway.

You should have a check in the mail because Comair made money and I just cashed my check.

No, they just send you a bill.

Hey Chow, I saw they're making you do RG right before differences. Call training and tell them that, and they'll probably let you out of it. Differences counts as your recurrent too.

Thanks Guys,

you were right. I just got my check. Now I have some gas money to take out the boat! :D

I did tell planning that they had me scheduled for both and I was told I had to do it. So I figure why not....Keeps me off FTR's radar!

Talk to Glenna Wilson, She will tell you how to do it and that is what I did. And I was pay protected.

Question for Comair guys,

As you can probably tell by my screen name, I work for an airline that does not have the rosiest outlook right now. Furloughs are coming shortly, which is a certainty, and there is a good chance I will be one of the unfortunate. Living only 25 minutes from JFK and being a former Comair Academy employee, Comair is the next logical choice for me. How is the outlook for the company right now? Any insight with the merger and how it will affect Comair? I want to make a move that will bring some stability (I know, oxymoron when it comes to regionals) and I really don't want to commute. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking at JFK then Comair is a great choice. Hours are picking up for the summer and as you may or may not know the company is shifting a lot of the operation into the northeast. Who knows exactly what that means for JFK but it could be good. It might just be the summer schedule, but something must be up because the company is planning on hiring 300 pilots through the summer. If you're looking to get on you might want to do it soon so you're at the beginning of this "wave". That's about all I have, I'm sure others will chime in with more useful info....

well, right now the word on the street is 300 new hires this year and a class of 12 every monday. i would say if you dont mind being based in jf'nk i think you would be happy with that decision. i for one dont recomend anyone make that lateral move to another regionals right now. but if the big F word is on your radar, it might be a smart move.

Eh, he's not that bad. Rough around the edges. I flew with him, had no problems. He's sat down and shot the you know what with a group of us before.

But like all Chiefs, they're better seen and not heard (from).
