Conference call is now over.

Quick Summary:

--2600 less block hours in the fall
--Furloughs likely
--Voluntary separation packages will be used first
--MCO, SCE and FLL Comair Ground stations closing. DL to pick up ground ops in MCO and FLL
--Furloughs coming
--Q400s may be the way to go, but the capital expenses of getting them and devoloping a program may kill the idea
--76 seaters not making money
--Hinting strongly at merging with Mesaba
--Furloughs coming
--More station closures possible and less flying likely unless oil comes down
--Furloughs coming
--Pinnacle and Freedom contracts are still on the chopping block, but in the meantime, they continue to fly until it goes to court.
--Furloughs coming

You guys that are skeptical about the merger fund, this ought to change your minds. We need those funds now more than ever. Actually, we needed them yesterday.

Still skeptical. Let them budget my contributions as I budget my income to various creditors!
What a structure of an airline, lets see, lets ramp up, announcie massive hiring, interview, actually hiring based on a module strategy, and now....SURPRISE...oh Cr@p!, oil is expensive!! May need to furlough...give me a break!

Very good summary RJ, that pretty much sums it up. Did we mention furloughs? Good luck everyone, especially new guys.

Sounds like Comair Standard to me!

<rocking back and forth in chair> Oh crap... oh crap... oh crap... Only have about 100 behind me... christ... this isnt going to be good.

John doesn't take a crap without Delta's permission. This seems more like Delta exercising it's leesh controls over Comair. "Okay he's more flying, you need to hire more pilots." "Well now you're not going to get those additional hours and we're going to take over MCO and FLL for you."
