Bingo. Maybe he is yelling. Maybe Delta is "whipsawing" the regionals themselves against one another just like the pilot groups. And here is a crazy idea - maybe JS and DS have no real control over what happens to this airline - clearly they don't control the number of aircraft, or the routes, or the amount of money Comair can charge for a ticket, so what exactly is left they control? Those that complain about the "poor management", I ask, what exactly are they still allowed to manage? Delta calls all the shots and manipulates everyone, and as a wholly owned, Comair can't complain or sue like Pinnacle or Mesa - they just have to take it. And then the union does all it can to stir the pot, which only makes Delta less likely to want to deal with Comair anyway.

Thats ridiculous. I cant imagine that $162 is even enough to cover the fuel costs for that trip.

Full 76-seater burning average 1800lbs each side, 400 Kts average groundspeed, at $3.65/gallon

= $149.84 fuel cost (roundtrip).

and

= $3.25 first officer cost (assuming year five FO on year four pay)

Add the captain and two FAs, and Delta can't make money at that ticket price. Obviously the First Officer costs too much.

Put a Mesa pilot in the flight deck and Delta saves 8.5 pennies on the entire round trip cost.

After 5 years here I almost wish this place would just close the doors. They would make my decision for me. For whatever reason I haven't made the decision yet, but I should.

Comair awarded 7 new 900's

eMaestro crashes 3 times within 2 weeks

Comair loses 7 new 900's

Remember Delta's major push over the last 6 months has been performance. Have you seen our numbers lately. They are terrible!

Just more rhetoric from the company and even from the union. Again I say, instead of being shocked that the company broke their word (again), what have they been up to during the past few weeks (when morale was on the rise) to reduce furloughs/displacements in the event this happened? Or are we still worried about personal feuds with DS and the eMaestro system?

That's what I have said in one of my earlier posts. I would not be surprised if performance was the reason DL backed out on this deal.

MONTH-TO-DATE PERFORMANCE:

Completion: 93%
D-Zero: 63.6%
A14: 66.9%
Baggage: 18.1

Even with 2 former higher-ups from Comair now working at Delta Connection, we still won't see any growth....

The future at Comair never seems to get any brighter, does it?

I know I'd could earn a lot more if Comair would close the doors. I'd miss flying some, and I'd miss getting to work with a lot of great professionals, but there are so many other opportunities available out there.

The deterioration in schedules alone over the last three years has personally cost me as much as I earn at Comair.
