Say what you want in the crew room or in cockpit (and it sounds like you do), but don't do it here. I don't care how good of a pilot or a person you are, but someone somewhere out there has an ax to grind against you too I'm sure.

I don't know PhoenixFlood but he’s earned the tip of my hat for enduring something so horrific and then returning not just to aviation but making it to the right seat of a 121 carrier. In my books Floods a stand-up man, not just for that but for coming on here and confronting those who are attempting to slandering him and doing so in a civil manner. To me that shows outstanding character!!
The only results these two individuals have accomplished by slander this guy on a public forum is destroying their own reputation and creditability.

I've had PhoenixFlood in my jump seat. I don't fly for his company, nor have I ever crewed with him, but he was a nice guy and had an amazing story to tell. He has had to overcome more than most any of us other guys can imagine. This thread has been ruined by a few people and I too would urge the mods to shut it down. If you are going to call out a line pilot by name on here, have the courage to use your own name. Regardless of merit, This is the wrong place and wrong way to do it.

He obviously didn't pay attention to Mr. Rodgers when he was a kid. He/she needs some lessons on being a good person.

Ugh... those of you spreading these rumors should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. How incredibly childish and lacking of backbone.
PhoenixFlood- congrats on overcoming all the adversity you have.

Because corporate gossip is always factual.
And since this is on the Internet that must make it true.
There was in fact one single incident, which I do regret, but it did not involve a photograph. It did involve a conversation with the then CP but it wasn't until 3 other FO's wrote letters complaining about this individual that action was taken against him.
This incident happen about 4 years ago now. I was very frustrated with flying with this individual. I was frustrated of being on reserve for going on two years straight with a crumbling marriage at home. I was frustrated with hearing of others just one month senior to me never spending more than a month of reserve. I was missing my son growing up and I was constantly flying with an individual who tested my skills and patience.
I vented, regretfully, on Facebook with the comment "I'm glad I kept my CFI current because I needed it today, unfortunately my student was my captain. ". No names were mentioned. However, someone did the homework and quickly knew who I was talking about. They made an anonymous call on the company safety hotline refusing the next trip with this individual citing my Facebook comment as the reason, on an answering machine no less.
Naturally the union PSC called me and told me it wasn't professional. I couldn't argue with that. They also told me they were aware of the individual already and were trying to work with him.
As stated earlier, I do in fact have a type A personality. I was very vocal about this individual. So naturally when the action was taken against this individual, I was clearly the culprit since I was the most vocal. Nevermind three other people actually put it in writing to the CP.
This individual did have his day in court/arbitration. Myself and the 3 other FO's were there to testify. I never took the stand as my statement and story weren't nearly as dramatic as the other 3 stories.
The photograph in the cockpit stories began snowballing from there in a childish game of "I saw Ferris get sick at 31 flavors night".
And since this is on the Internet that must make it true.

This surprised me. After all the grief , worry and fighting you went through to make it to the airlines, it only took two sh!tty years on reserve for you to say this. I wonder if back in '07 you would have believed that just two years later you would feel this way.
Congrats on your story though I hope it becomes what you initially thought you were fighting for.

Imapilot2, you're absolutely correct on that thought. I was very ashamed on where my attitude had taken me. What lead me on that path was a very demanding, unsupportive home network. While people congratulated me on my accomplishment, I was made out to be a deadbeat dad. Eventhough I spent every precious minute of my 11 days off, minus commuting, I was still considered to be abandoning my child. This resulted in my attitude becoming very resentful and bitter over my situation. The problem has been rectified at home and my son and I are very much happier now, however now I still bear the guilt and shame of my previous actions and I accept it and deal it with it as they come up, like right now for instance.
Herb, I was referring to prior121's post of his hearing stories while working in the corporate office. After working many office cubical jobs I've become accustomed to the typical cubical, watercooler, breakroom gossip that pertained to nobody involved but all feeling they deserved to provide their two cents plus an added five cents to make the story more exciting, each time twisting the story beyond the original. That was my original reference.
