Default Typical Flight Schedule

What would be the typical day schedule wise for a CRJ pilot? Do they just fly back and forth between two airports? Any examples would be helpful, esp. around the CVG or ORD area.

Thanks

Here is a sample of a 4 day I have at the end of the month here at ASA. I think this is some what the norm around the industry for any domicile at any airline.

Cheers

Do you often have days like the 1st and 2nd where you'll just fly one or two legs and that's the end of the day?

I think having four day trips with some early show times is typical, but I don't think too many lines at most regionals would have back to back overnights with 20 hours or more layover.

Must be nice, or you got lucky with this bid:-)

24/48:

Is ATL the junior base at ASA? I know about ATL and SLC for domiciles, is there anywhere else? Do you commute, or does ASA allow that? Thanks for the help I'm a 135 bizjet FO thinking about making the jump to the regionals, so I have a ton of questions, so please forgive me.

Okay, here is another example of a trip that is a little more typical.

ATL and SLC are about the same seniority wise but ATL has more variety (CR2, CR7, and AT7). If you are junior and go to SLC (CR7 only) you are looking at probably a year or more on reserve. In ATL on the CR2 you are looking at months if not less!

ASA has a lot of commuters from all over the country. With our current pass bennies it ain't too bad, no CASS though. We currently do not have a commuter clause in our PWA but we are in negotiations and we could have one in the next contract.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up. What is this CASS thing I keep hearing everyone talk about. Also, how do you commute. I mean, do you go to the desk and give some kind of airline ID, and if they have room they'll let you on?
