saab.. the people on the xjt board told you to quit being a whiney pain in the butt about this "i hope i have a job" stuff. Get over it!!! They dont want to hear it there and we dont want to hear it here. You just dont let up on it and if you are going to do nothing but whine and complain about how the industry isnt fair you seriously need to grow a pair. The industry isnt going to change! No job is secure at the 121 level and it seems that everyone but you gets it. Grow up! If you dont like your career outlook then go somewhere else... your fear mongering has got to stop.

You are giving every single one of your fellow pilots at xjt a bad name by your constant ramblings on here. I really wish you would post anonymously and not say anything about xjt. You are everything our pilot group strives not to be. You are part of the problem and not the solution. Keep posting on here so new hire applicants can be turned off to our company because they think you are a good example of our pilot group. Go start another thread "Its definite Continental is taking another 25%" on the xjt board... i want to watch your peers put you in your place AGAIN.

To everyone else I am sorry for my peer. I hope everyone knows that 99% of xjt pilots are professionals. Please don't let the posts of one change your view of the many.

I really don't think you can say that about Saab dude...much of his "the world is ending for XJet" is just purely fun. And we know it...This was a rather harsh post I think, especially for someone who is well-respected and established on these boards!

well established??? he picks fights with other pilot groups, makes ignorant posts about other pilots groups, and has been told to quit fear mongering by his own pilot groups message board multiple times. At some point he needs to realize he isnt just hurting his own reputation in the industry but is actually doing harm to our pilot group.

sorry to blow up like this but when i meet a chq pilot in public I don't want him thinking i share this guys views just because he is the most vocal.

I'm no where near being a F.O. for a Regional, but I had my sights on this company.

Isn't EJT still one of the better Regionals to work for? Except for the tanking stock price, what else is bad at the company as compared to other Regionals?

I guess when they begin to operate like other low QOL Regionals, with only the bottom line on their minds, the stock prices will begin to reverse?

xjt is a very professional pilot group with a reasonable contract and a great relationship with their management. it is unfortunate that their branded flying is not doing well so far, and im not sure how they plan to turn that around, but everyone knew when they started that up that that there was a lot of risk involved. XJT produces an excellent product and did great for CAL, but CAL cut a lot of their flying for being more expensive than some other regionals. But its also been good for XJT because theyve been able to do some flying for some other airlines. Something is obviously going to have to happen soon in the future to turn the companys financial performance around, but i hope its not at the cost of concessions for the pilots.

Keep in mind that last quarter's loss had everything to do with the start-up costs of the branded side, and was expected by the company. This did unfortunately cause a loss of a lot of investor confidence, but hey, it was a risky move. Branded's load factors are better than predicted at this point, though it might take a couple more quarters to show a profit for that side of the house.

Just trying to stay positive here, people. The stock price sucks, but it wasn't exactly unexpected after the start of branded.

Get a grip ....................... I think one or two people told me not to worry on our boards, and if you really think I give Expressjet a bad name, you need to re-read my posts, and speaking of growing a pair Ill be at the Spring Hill suits tomorrow for the Union meeting, Ill PM you my info and you can "Grow a pair" and tell me how you feel about me............

How exactly are you going to make a profit flying 50-seaters with oil $85/barrel, 50% load factor and ultra-low fares.

Not to mention on some routes XJT is almost competing with SWA... after all LAX and ONT serve a lot of the same customer base.

I dont see how anyone is going to make much of a profit at $85/Barrel..............

Our fares arent "ultra-low" though..........

saab i actually have more respect for xjt pilots and i think you represent them well. i dont think you say anything to embarrass or lower your group, you just like to have fun and bust peoples balls on the board. we all do it, and if it wasnt for that, i would have stopped reading this board a long time ago.

your fares are "semi-low." Ill use it in a sentence. Southwest quoted me a really low fare, but XJT only gave me a "semi."
