saab i actually have more respect for xjt pilots and i think you represent them well. i dont think you say anything to embarrass or lower your group, you just like to have fun and bust peoples balls on the board. we all do it, and if it wasnt for that, i would have stopped reading this board a long time ago.

your fares are "semi-low." Ill use it in a sentence. Southwest quoted me a really low fare, but XJT only gave me a "semi."

haha thats classic, that should be our motto, haha

Actually, Branded is doing better than expected. LF has been respectable, and we're building a lot of customer loyalty. During my crew's 90 minute sit in ABQ last week, I ran into a pax who was on one of my flights a few months back. We share a common interest in RC heli flying, and struck up a conversation while on a MX delay in OMA back in June. Kinda nice to returning customers. :D

nice, I had a lady tell me today that she is never flying "continental" again, how dare we make her put her "carry-on" with her credit cards in the back of the airplane............. I didnt have the heart to tell her she wasnt flying on Continental, haah thats good news though I hear the pax on branded are a happier bunch, probably just a west coast thing

TRUE. But it surely is easier when you have a brand recognition like SWA and 140 seats per flight.

Having said that I think XJT is doing a GREAT job in their branded flying so far, considering their capabilities. However I see it difficult for them to get profitable with oil prices this high.

Not so sure about that. I'll have to check into that more, but the company has been very clear in explaining that we're not trying to compete with SWA at all; in fact, we're going out of our way to make sure that the branded destinations "aren't too big or too small" (management's words). Too small and we don't make any money, too big and SWA parks a 737 on top of us and sends us packing.

My main concern however is that I don't really see the XJT brand out there in advertising. I understand that a new advertising firm is stepping in to help spread the word, so hopefully that'll kick things into high gear. I just have a feeling that a lot of people might not even know about branded and we're losing business because of it.
