New Colgan Mins?
Web Site shows 600/100. Previously it was 500/80 and I believe APC showed 500/50.

Once you study your butt off and receive a commercial license, Instrument rating, multi engine, and type rating, you've proven to many people that you know how to fly. Yes you pick up techniques and experience after a while, but it doesn't mean you're an unsafe pilot until then. There are 1500 hour pilots that have problems with a king air, and there are 600 hour pilots that could handle a CRJ single pilot into JFK. It all depends on the person |

I dont know why they bother, I doubt that they're really sticking with it (or most other regionals for that matter.) I know a few ARe strict about their published mins, but all five I've interviewed with earlier this year weren't. |
i think that 400 extra hours gives you 400 hours more air experience under your butt. 400 more hours to see things go bad, see things go right, etc, etc.
you are right, with regards to sitting in the right seat as a CFI, the extra 400 hours means virtually nothing. i wasnt taking that into account. my point is that when i said 1000 hours, i meant 1000 as PIC...PERIOD.... the CFI time would just be gravy... Jeff |

Jeff Not trying to be a jerk, but you are contradicting yourself it seems...unless I am reading your post wrong? |
Didn't I pass the same 121 check ride at 1000 hrs (not all PIC) that someone with 3000 hours would of gotten?
